The
NitroG20 will work with either a foot control or with a
PalmControl® handle. It has a larger and longer internal bore
and piston than the Classic™ or Artisan™ handpieces. The
NitroG20 comes standard with a heavy 20gram Tungsten piston.
Price of the handpiece and tungsten piston is $1295. CFM air
volume requirement to run the tools is 0.9 CFM at 70 to 110PSI.
The Supersilent 20-A compressor is too small. The
Supersilent 50-TC is large enough though as it outputs 2.0CFM
at 84PSI to 114PSI. Other compressors that can out put at
least .90CFM at 80PSI should work fine with the tool. The
tool can also be run with a CO2 regulator either in a
foot control setup or PalmControl® setup.
The
NitroG20 is included with one presharpened HSS, and three HSS graver blanks, handpiece tubing wrenches and an
owners manual. With maximum power of a Carbalt graver is
not recommend because the Nitro can snap them in two.
Note from
Steve: I usually recommend the Classic™ with a tungsten
piston, unless the person is only doing heavy engraving all the time..i.e. car or motorcycle parts then I recommend the Nitro.
The reason is that the Classic™ is easier to do detail work with
but since the stroke is adjustable, it can be setup for harder
hitting.. making it like a number of handpieces in one.
Later if needed the Nitro could be purchased for an a second
handpiece. The Classic™ with the tungsten piston can
be taken up to 80 psi. Also set at a long or short stroke
or somewhere in between.
